Sharesource didn’t start as a purpose-driven company. In the early days, we were a traditional offshoring business, connecting great people with great jobs worldwide. But a single conversation changed everything.
Our CEO, Brendon, met with employees at our hub in the Philippines and spoke with a woman who had just secured a data entry role she loved. She casually mentioned that she had a degree in Mathematics. This moment was pivotal - despite her strong qualifications, limited local job opportunities had prevented her from using her full potential. It sparked a realization: opportunity should not be dictated by location.
Since that turning point in 2016, we’ve been on a mission to create equitable opportunities for highly qualified professionals in developing countries. By bridging the talent gap and redistributing financial and professional equity, we empower both individuals and businesses to thrive. Pursuing B Corp certification was a natural progression of this mission, reinforcing our commitment to doing business in a way that benefits people and the planet.
